A resident was walking her 11-year-old, 18-pound Cockapoo at Lynn Woods Playground when a male suspect walked past with his three unleashed Pit Bulls, Lynn Police said. This happened around 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 10.

The Pit Bulls then attacked the Cockapoo without provocation, biting it more than 25 times and causing serious injuries.

The presumed owner eventually gained control of his dogs and continued walking. He was described as a burly-looking man with scruffy facial hair and wearing a baseball cap, police said.

Police are now seeking information to help identify the dogs and owner. Anyone with relevant information can contact the department's Animal Control Officer at 781-477-4385.
